Lake Michigan (the other side)

School is back in full swing, transitions are happening, life is both beautiful and difficult, and autumn is good for the soul.

In light of all that, here are some pictures of my trip a few weeks ago to the eastern shore of Lake Michigan, where some friends and I spent a few days in a lake house, which we won at a public interest auction through the law school last year.

It was beautiful. I don’t think I’ll ever have the money to afford it, but man, was it beautiful. Walking down to the lake from the house, I found this little basket of kindness rocks. I picked one up that was very clearly written by a child and which said “love all ways.” I choose both to see the typo and also be reminded to love in every way.
